We recently sat down to talk with Marina Kaljurand, Estonia Ambassador to the US, about the impact of the exchange partnership between Nebraska Wesleyan University, the University of Tartu in Estonia, and the College of Charleston. First established by the Foundation in 2007, the exchange includes students, faculty, and expert lecturers in academics, politics, and business.
Exchange students in Charleston, Nebraska, and Estonia have had the incredible opportunity to bridge their home culture and experiences with ones across the world. This unique program creates an ongoing dialogue and an appreciation of democratic principles that both enrich the lives of students and faculty – and facilitates economic and political cooperation.
Listen to Ambassador Kaljurand as she shares the story of her friendship with Harry and Reba Huge – and the incredible partnerships and opportunities they’ve forged around the world.
