Huge Scholar Eric Jackson (pictured center) won the 2019 Prototron Competition in Tallinn, Estonia. Eric’s startup, Recovery Companion, is developing a mobile application prototype that utilizes peer-to-peer matchmaking algorithms to precisely match together those fighting cancer based on similar diagnosis, treatment and interests so they can share the cancer treatment journey together instead of in isolation. The platform will also have a chatbot that serves as a digital companion and promotes well-being, amongst other functions.
Jackson explains, “The Harry and Reba Huge Foundation has been instrumental to my academic and professional success in both Nebraska and Estonia. I’m very grateful for their support and I’m proud to represent them in my endeavors. Thank you, Huge Foundation! ”
