The Foundation is pleased to introduce the first four Huge Scholars to attend the College of Charleston beginning fall of 2013. These students, selected from over 1,200 applicants to the College’s Honor’s College, have received full-ride scholarships funded by the Foundation. In addition to tuition, room, board, books, and fees, the scholarship also provides for special enrichment opportunities to include summer/semester study-abroad experiences, as well as individual mentoring by designated faculty. Zach Sturman is a graduate of Philips Academy in Andover Massachusetts, and comes to the college with interests in Political Science, International Business, and International Studies. Polina Aleshina graduated from Dreher High in Columbia South Carolina, and intends to major in International Studies, but is also interested in Psychology and Communication. Kaya Tollas attended Tremper High in Kenosha Wisconsin and plans on majoring in Biology, with related interests in Biochemistry, Economics, and Mathematics. Grace Moxley comes from Walhalla Senior High in Mountain Rest, South Carolina and intends to major in Biology with an emphasis in pre-med.
